1. Working Principle and Function of Yaskawa Servo Motor Encoder UTSIH-B17CK:
It is a rotary sensor that converts rotational displacement into a series of digital pulse signals. These pulses are used to control angular displacement and, when coupled with a gear rack or screw, can also measure linear displacement.
2. Applications and Signal Output of UTSIH-B17CK Encoder:
After generating electrical signals, these sensors are processed by Numerical Control (CNC), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), control systems, etc. These encoders are primarily used in machine tools, material processing, electric motor feedback systems, and measurement/control equipment. The conversion of angular displacement in ELTRA encoders utilizes the principle of photoelectric scanning. The readout system is based on a radial indexing disc rotating in UTTIH-B20FK, with alternating transparent and opaque windows. This system uses an infrared light source vertically shining on the disc, projecting its image onto a receiver surface. The MFE2500P8NCA receiver is covered with a grating, known as a collimator, with windows similar to those on the disc. The UTSIH-B17CK receiver works by detecting changes in light caused by disc rotation and converting these changes into corresponding electrical changes. Generally, rotary encoders can also obtain a speed signal that needs to be fed back to the variable frequency drive to adjust its output data.
2.2 Fault Phenomenon of UTSIH-B17CK:
When the rotary encoder fails (no output), the variable frequency drive cannot operate normally, resulting in very slow operation and intermittent protection trips with “PG Disconnected” displayed. Joint action is required to function. SBN-4096-6ME ensures that the electrical signal rises to a high level and produces interference-free square wave pulses, requiring electronic circuit processing. The connection method between the encoder pg wiring and the parameter vector frequency converter and the encoder pg must correspond to the encoder pg model. Generally, there are three types of encoder pg models: differential output, open collector output, and push-pull output. The signal transmission method must consider the interface of the frequency converter pg card, so selecting the appropriate pg card model or setting it reasonably is necessary.
